At the start of each semester, credit card companies flood
college campuses with hopes of attracting new customers. The new customers
are mostly under the age of 25.
A recent study conducted by the National Center of Education Statistics shows
that 96 percent of college seniors have credit cards.
Discovery halts viral cancer 100%
in women

“The cervical cancer vaccine is an incredible medical
break through. It is only the second human vaccine developed to prevent
cancer,” Anna Drazenovic, an MCC nursing faculty member, said.
“Cervical cancer is the second-most common cancer in women worldwide,
and kills almost 5,000 American women annually, this new vaccine is a tremendous
discovery” Drazenovic said.
Library exhibit puts focus on banned

During October, a blindfolded woman greeted students at
the Paul A. Elsner Library at MCC. The woman was in a glass case surrounded
by books that have, at one time, been banned.

A group of fifth graders crouched by the sidewalk near the Outback Theatre
exploded into screams of delight. They watched in excitement as several
small, rocket-propelled cars streaked down wire tracks to a finish line.
