T-birds going to Nationals

Before every game this season, the MCC women’s soccer
team circles up, arm in arm, and chants, “We ready, we ready, we ready.”
Not only have they proved it all season long, but they proved in their most
important game yet on Nov. 5, when they took on Cisco Junior College with
the district title and a trip to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament
on the line.

basketball seeks revenge in new season

The Mesa Community College men’s basketball team
is preparing for the fast approaching season in hopes of continuing the
winning tradition.
The 2004 team finished the season with a winning record of 20 wins and ten
losses and a trip to the NJCAA Region I Playoffs.

There is a new tune coming from inside the gym this year.
And if you’re wondering who is making this noise, we know exactly
who it is. With their clapping and excitement during the first half of their
practices, the Lady T-birds are coming out ready to make some noise this
year.
Despite loss, men’s soccer
ends season on high note

The men’s soccer team had their 2005 season come
to an abrupt end as they lost to Pima Community College, two goals to one,
in the semifinals of the NJCAA Region I playoffs.
The team came into the game riding high after edging out Arizona Western
and Chandler-Gilbert Community Colleges for second place in the region and
a first round bye.
