A woman of strength

The death of Coretta Scott King on Jan. 30 was truly a sad day, however the saddest thing of all is many did not even know what she had accomplished in her life.
February is a month to look back at the accomplishments of African Americans.

Consumers unaware of clothing labels’ deeper meaning

I have probably seen his face more times on T-shirts, hats and other novelties more so than Mickey Mouse’s image these days. He’s been dead for close to forty years, yet his legacy still lives on among T-shirts, hats, posters and the like. Perhaps you even own a shirt or poster with his face on it. Che Guevara’s face is, well… everywhere.

 


Keeping country safe worth the compromise of privacy

It is not unusual to walk around the campus of MCC and see a student or eight talking away on their cell phones.
Talking louder than their 50 Cent ringtone, phone users easily let those around them, in on their conversation about that crazy party from the weekend or the tough assignment just handed down from their professor. What they don’t know is who else might be listening in.
