MCC theater arts and film students compete

Sixteen theatre arts and film department students headed to Cedar City, Utah to compete at the regional Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.

One of KCACTF’s goals is to encourage, recognize and celebrate the finest and most diverse work produced in university and college theater programs.

The students were nominated to advance to the regional competition after being judged for their work with MCC Theatre Arts and Film Department’s two fall productions, An Enemy of the People, and 13 Rue de L’ Amour.

Participants in the state, regional and national KCACTF have the individual opportunity to win awards and scholarships.

Participants are also able to attend workshops as well as see other competitor’s work and share experiences within the community of theater artists.

The MCC students who advanced were Adrian Hernandez, Jason Kleinschmidt, Brian Smith, Leslie Wall, Aaron Blanco, Tara Hutchinson, Melissa Moses, Haleigh Sakas, Dennis Cody Leake, Brian Lumpkin, Chris Vehon, Angel Moreno, Mercedes Bannion, Jennafer Spuell, and Bethany Wicks.
