Another record for Rashaud
It seems hard to believe that MCC track sensation Rashaud Scott has any records left to break. Feb. 24 though, proved to be another record-setting day for the Kentucky-bound hurler.
Scott, who already holds the school record in the discus, which he broke last season, set the school record in the 35 lb weight throw at a meet at Northern Arizona University.
The weight throw, which is a new event to track and field is not Scott’s specialty, but he has made vast improvement in the early part of this season.
Though, the discuss will continue to be Scott’s focus, as it will be what he does at UK, his emergence in the weight throw makes him more of threat for MCC.
Scott, though was not the only one setting records in Flagstaff.
Amber Washington set a school record in the 400 meter dash at the meet. Washington, who was a former long jump and triple jump star, has focused her attention on sprinitng.
Though she has not yet signed to a Division I school, Washington has her goal set on signing for one before the end of the season.
