To whom it may concern:
I am writing in regards to the April 3 edition of the Mesa Legend.
I just finished reading the paper. I think it’s a great paper but I have a problem with one of the latest articles from the opinions page.
Ivy Villaflores writes in her article “What do cultural months mean?” about Asian American month. I think celebrating cultural months is great. We live in a society where people still are prejudiced. And I think we should be proud of our heritage.
I’m really disappointed that Ms. Villaflores failed to recognize her Hispanic heritage. She should be proud of her Hispanic last name.
That’s all, just my two cents.
