Can I play, too?

Whatever happened to being able to compete in sports even if you’re not a top player?

Intramural sport programs did just that and I for one loved it. I’m no Maria Sharapova, Mia Hamm or Kerri Walsh, but I still like to play and compete. Nothing beats the thrill of winning a close game/match.

Now, I know MCC offers various physical activity classes including team sports like basketball and volleyball but there’s no excitement like competing sports can give.
Scrimmage can be fun when it’s the boys versus the girls but other than that, there’s no thrill after winning.

Intramural sports are perfect for those who don’t have the huge talent to make the school team but enjoy playing and competing. It gives a great oppurtunity to stay active and meet new people. And who knows, some of those intramural players might even grow and become one of the best players on campus.

So MCC, give unknown, ambitious athletes a chance to play and compete by creating an intramural sports program.
