WebCT User's Group

If you missed the first WebCT User’s Meeting on Friday, January 23rd,here is what you missed (besides some snacks and a general good time!):

  • An introductory activity designed to promote maximum participation and maximum learning about other participants in the room and their uses of WebCT. This activity involved finding others in the room who fit certain criteria based on their WebCT usage (i.e. has 3 or more development courses, first semester using WebCT, etc…)
  • Guest account update and Overall WebCT update
    • Guest accounts – there is currently a glitch in the guest account process. Please refrain from creating guest accounts at this time. If you would like a guest account, please email the CTL at ctl@mcmail.maricopa.edu.
    • Overall update – thank you for your patience with the account creation delays that were experienced this semester. These are not expected to reoccur. Accounts are currently created twice a day (8 am and 2 pm) with a 12 - 24 hour (and often less) turnaround time.
  • User’s group objectives and Future meetings
    • Objectives – casual meetings with sharing and demonstrations by MCC colleagues and well as WebCT tricks and tidbits
Meetings once a month or so
  • Hot Potatoes
    • Sharing of the Hot Potatoes quizzing tool and how to access it from WebCT. See the CTL website for Hot Potatoes documents coming soon.
  • CTL Blog

The next meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 27th from 1:30 - 2:30. WebCT users look for an upcoming email with more details.
