Microsoft Windows may be one of the most popular and widely
used operating systems around, but it does have its weaknesses. Sometimes,
these weaknesses can allow a malicious hacker to take control
of your machine. Sometimes these vulnerabilities can cause
your computer to have an open "back door" that allows certain
viruses to make their way into your system from the internet. Windows
computers are definitely vulnerable to "attack" from both malicious
people and programs.
There is hope, however! Fortunately, Microsoft is aware
of the fact that their software contains vulnerabilities and
they have a way to fix or "patch" these vulnerabilities as they
are discovered.

If you are still running an older version of Windows (95, 98, NT,
or ME), please contact Technology Support Services (email: tss@mcmail.maricopa.edu ,

newer operating systems.
