WebCT End of Semester Reminders
For those of you teaching WebCT courses, you might consider completing each of the following tasks in the next few weeks:

1)       Extend your purge date for any development courses you would like to keep (see http://www.mc.maricopa.edu/other/ctl/webct/crs_extend.html)

2)       *Back up your WebCT course(s) to a zip drive or your local hard drive (see http://www.mc.maricopa.edu/other/ctl/webct/crs_backup.html )

3)       Create a separate backup for your grade data so you can access it outside of WebCT (see http://www.mc.maricopa.edu/other/ctl/webct/grd_import.html ).

4)        Make your summer course or courses live (see http://www.mc.maricopa.edu/other/ctl/webct/crs_act.html ).

5)        If you plan to offer any incompletes and would like those students to have continued access to WebCT, please contact Jonathan Baney (jonathan.baney@mcmail.maricopa.edu ) in IT as soon as possible.

*Remember that you will have two weeks from the last day of the semester to make a backup copy of your live WebCT course before it is deleted. An alternative to creating a

backup is to create a development course using your current live course as a template. Contact Jeff Anderson, Melanie Kroening, or myself if you have any questions or need any help with the procedures listed above.

For those of you working on WebCT development over the summer, don’t forget to take a look at CTL summer workshop offerings. We are offering several workshops during key preparation times (just after spring and prior to fall semester) as well as WebCT Open Lab times all summer. Don’t forget to register for these opportunities as seats are limited. Visit the Registration link on the CTL homepage to sign up for CTL events and activities: http://ctl.mc.maricopa.edu.
