The MyMCC portal has new and exciting features - but they are only available to those with an MC account. Why you ask? Security. We want only AUTHORIZED users to have access to these tools. This helps to prevent "hacking" into our system and prevents unnecessary load on the server from outsiders who may just want to "browse" our system.
So what exactly is the big deal with MyMCC? Well, it's your one-stop shopping (so to speak) here at MCC. Not only do you get email - but you also get webspace and file storage space that is available to you from any location. No more "overwriting" your document with the old version - no more carrying a disk home and having to reload it when you get to work. In addition to this convenience, you get a host of other features including: the ability to view and manipulate your class rosters; "broadcast" email to all students in your section(s); access to a variety of quick links to important areas on campus and on the District server; access, create and delete your WebCT courses; maintain your email account(s) which include forwarding your MC email account to the ISP (internet service provider) of your choice; change your password; and more. You should be logging into MyMCC daily for quicker and easier access to the great tools that are provided for your use.
