Message from the President

As Mesa Community College begins its accreditation self-study, I would like to express my full support for, and commitment to, this important effort. Preparing for accreditation is an enormous undertaking for our entire college community. It is also an opportunity for us to reflect upon our shared vision, mission and values, to demonstrate our tremendous strengths and accomplishments, and to celebrate our innovative spirit. Furthermore, through our self-study activities, we will discover new ways to prepare for our future as a college.

Many faculty and staff have come forward to lend their talents and expertise to the accreditation self-study. I have complete confidence that, through their collaborative efforts, we will emerge as a flagship community college. This is a unique opportunity for us collectively to realize our vision: “Mesa Community College will be a leader among community colleges, providing an innovative and intellectual learning-centered environment that is responsive, adaptable, and inclusive.”

I look forward to working with our college community throughout the coming two years, and to support the self-study process in any way that I can.
