The steering committee meeting last Friday was enjoyable, informative, and productive. Here are the highlights: Each of the criterion chairs shared committee updates. Every group has made significant progress on their working papers. The consensus of the group was that all the committees could have their final drafts completed by the end of the semester. Bravo! The operational indicators are making great progress as well. They are collecting and organizing the required statistics about the college and district. The schedule for producing the self-study report was discussed. Briefly, the plan is to draft the report over the summer and then edit in the Fall. We need to be ready to submit the report by late December or very early January. Remember, we are having an all self-study committee meeting Friday, May 7th at 3 PM. Please, please come. We have a lot of important things to discuss and some fun to be had! Thanks again for caring about MCC's continued success and accreditation, Gayla
