Transfer Degrees for Associate in Arts, Associate in Business, and Associate in Science (AA, AAGR, AASR, ABUS-GR, ABUS-SR, AS, AS-GR, AS-SR, AA-EE)

The Maricopa County Community College District offers several degree options. The degrees/pathways: (Associate in Arts, Associate in Business, and Associate in Science) are designed for students who plan to transfer to Arizona's public universities into majors that articulate with the appropriate degree pathway. Each degree/pathway transfers as a block without loss of credit to Arizona's public universities. All semester credits used to satisfy the MCCCD pathways will apply to university graduation requirements of the university major for which the degree was designed.

Associate in General Studies (AGS)

Students who need more flexibility in their academic program will want to pursue the Associate in General Studies (AGS).

Associate in Transfer Partnership (ATP)

The Associate in Transfer Partnership (ATP) option is designed for students who have chosen a major and the baccalaureate degree-granting institution they plan to attend. ATP's are available for certain majors at ASU East, ASU Main, and ASU West.

Associate in Applied Science (AAS)

Students who want a two-year career or technical program, which may transfer into the BAS program at ASU East, ASU West, or NAU, should select the appropriate Associate in Applied Science (AAS) option.
