All new
students need to complete an ASSET test.
The ASSET test is three 25 minute placement tests designed to identify
skill levels
in English, reading and mathematics. ASSET scores are used to decide which
courses to take. Students placed in the proper level courses have a much
better
chance of success. ASSET testing is free.
There are also specific programs of study which may require testing for
acceptance
into the program. Nursing, EMT- Fire Science, and Mortuary Science are
just a few
examples.
If English is not your first language you may need CELSA testing
for English language
proficiency. See the CELSA testing information.
International students must have a TOEFL [Test
of English as a Foreign Language]
score of 500 or equivalency
as determined by the director of Admissions and
Records. The TOEFL test results must be mailed directly from the
Educational
Testing Services to the Director of Admissions and Records.
Please feel free to contact the Testing Center @
480-461-7480 if you have any questions.
