Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services:

Welcome
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services at Mesa Community College offers a variety of services designed to meet the academic needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.
Upon request, we provide sign language interpreting or computer assisted real-time translation (CART) services for qualified deaf and hard of hearing students.
DRS services are provided to meet the unique needs of deaf and hard of hearing students and help them achieve a successful college career. Additional resources are available for students such as notetakers. It is recommended students meet with their DRS advisors to discuss their individual needs. If you have any questions, please contact us with any questions you may have.
Once students are registered with the DRS, they may request services online (recommended) or by meeting the Interpreter Coordinator to make the request in person.
Our primary purpose is to provide an opportunity for all individuals to gain maximum benefit from their educational experience. Mesa Community College encourages deaf and hard of hearing students to participate with their peers in the same activities and courses.
Videophones are located at Southern/Dobson and Red Mountain libraries for student use. Please adhere to library policies for videophone use.
