Who can use the services provided in the Student Life and Leadership Center?
We welcome any student who wishes to advance their leadership skills. The Center is open to any member of the recognized club or organization as well as to Resident Assistants in the Housing office. The services and materials are to be used for organizational purposes only.
Student Housing Guide
Available to students FREE of charge in the Student Life and Leadership Office. Listing of many apartments in the MCC area and helpful information on renting rights, roommate agreements, utilities etc.
Student Health Insurance
Each person registered as a day or evening division student who is enrolled in an approved credit and/or non-credit class or is engaged in school sponsored, supervised, approved and calendared activities in a college of the Maricopa County Community College District is covered during the policy term. This plan applies only to college related accidents. The student is automatically insured and the cost is covered in the campus activity fee. Information on filing a claim, detailed brochures and medical insurance information is available in the lobby of the Kirk Student Center and from the Dean of Students’ office located on the top floor of the Kirk Student Center. Red Mountain students can locate this information in the Student Life and Leadership office located on the second floor of the Mesquite building office 210.
Volunteer Information
Volunteerism is stressed with all clubs, organizations, ASMCC and the student body. Find out how you can get involved in one day special projects or on-going involvement. Contact the Student Life and Leadership Office staff for more information.
Voter Registration
Voter Registration Forms are available in the lobby of the Kirk Student Center, Student Life and Leadership Office and the lobby of the Library.
Bus Subsidies
Through the MCCD Travel Reduction Program, bus subsidies are offered to students enrolled in 12 or more units at MCC. Monthly passes are $24.00 for local and $41.00 for express and are sold from the 15th through the last day of the month in which they are valid. Semester passes are $80.00 and are sold during the first few weeks prior to the start of the semester. The availabilty of passes is limited.
Food Services
Southern Dobson
- Aramark serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Kirk Student Center Student Bldg. # 35. The Bluenote is located in the Library and Grounds for Thought is located in the Kirk Student Center.
Red Mountain
- Aramark provides food service.
