Chapter 1606 (M.G.I.B Selected Reserves)
This program provides benefits for members of the Selected Reserve and
National Guard who enlisted, re-enlisted, or extended their enlistment
for a period of six years after July 1, 1985.
New Student
- Complete an application of admissions at Mesa Community
College.
- If you have never attended another institution or college, complete
the assessment placement exams in the M.C.C. Assessment Center.
- A copy of your Notice of Basic Eligibility (N.O.B.E.) DD form 2384-1
is required to receive your benefits.
- Our office will help you with Registration, Advisement, and Financial
Aid.
- A: 22-1990 - Application for Educational Benefits.
You will only have to fill this out one time.
- B: Pay Request - This will be completed every semester to receive
benefits

Transferring Students
- Complete 22-195 Change of Place or Program of Study

Chapter 1606 receives benefits on the first of the following month.
