ELECTRONIC PORTFOLIO INSTRUCTIONS

 

 You will be using a FTP File Transfer Program to upload your files from your disk/computer hard drive to the personal web space provided to you by MCC.  Your website is:  www.mc.maricopa.edu/~your MCC username.  For example:  www.mc.maricopa.edu/~cheldFor your benefit, make sure you print a hard copy of the information as well as have all of the information saved on a disk or CD for future reference or presentation.

Use the following steps to do this:

 

  1. Download the FTP software from the Help Desk  Download the version you need for the type of Windows Operating System you have on the computer.  If you have Windows XP, the 2000 version should work.  The purpose of this special software is to enable you to upload your files from your disk/drive to your website at MCC.
     
  1. Once the software is installed on your computer, you will then install the software by double-clicking on the file you downloaded from the Filezilla website.
     
  2. Once the software is installed, you will email tss@mcmail.maricopa.edu or call the Help Desk on specific instructions on how to upload files.  This is not necessary if you understand my instructions. If you have technical difficulties, contact the help desk at 480-461-7217.  They will help you.
