Introduction:

This assignment was developed to help the student and teacher through process of developing and creating a website using the web to display accomplishments and samples of work. The information of the project is to enable students to obtain the assignment using the Internet.

 

Learners:

This lesson is designed for college/adult level students.  However, with some changing to more simpler wording and actions, it can be used for high school juniors and seniors.

Standards:

Teachers will learn how to successfully apply technology in their classrooms through the implementation of WebQuests.

Process:

The task is to learn how to create a WebQuest that you can used in the classroom as well as online course assessments.

The process includes:

1)  Learning how to define a project and make it a Webquest design.

2)  Incorporate activities using web links and information access.

3)  Use sample Webquest sites to include the appropriate Webquest components.

4)  Creating a Webquest.

5)  Creating their own WebQuest!

 

Resources:

Internet access is required to adequately design a WebQuest.

Evaluation:

Teachers should check to make sure that their WebQuests are doing everything they're supposed to do and the evaluation portion pertains to the WebQuest activities.

Students should be able to easily move throughout the WebQuest and find the information they are looking for.  All links should be working and the WebQuest should be an interesting and fun activity for the student.

 

Conclusion:

Once an understanding of creating and implementing Webquests is reached, teachers can ingenious to keep their students attention.
