These are ALL of the Essentials Office 2003 Data Files referred to in the ESSENTIALS lab book.  (Note: A CD containing these same files is contained in the shrink wrapped book package for this course.  However, if you buy used books you need not buy the CD as you can download these file free from this site.)

http://www.mc.maricopa.edu/~cronquist/StudentDataFiles.doc  Instead of all the files referenced by the Essentials lab book, this site provides you with links to just THE FILES YOU WILL NEED TO ACCESS FOR THIS COURSE.

Cronquist HOME PAGE (= this pages' URL) -  http://www.mc.maricopa.edu/~cronquist  (Cronquist students are to memorize this URL)  (FYI: The tilde "~" character (usually located on upper-left of keyboard), is commonly (but not always) found in the URLs of personal pages.)

MY MCC Email Account

  • Activate your My MCC Account -- If you have not yet activated your My MCC account you need to do so.  Activation has you create a User ID and Password with which you can then access the information in your MyMCC account.  To activate it, go to MCC's Home Page http://www.mc.maricopa.edu/ find and click on the My MCC  link on the top of the screen, next click on the words Create an Account and follow the instructions there.

  • Quick Access link to your My MCC Email account: http://mail.mc.maricopa.edu:8080/
    NOTE:
You can also get to your MCC email account by going into My MCC and clicking the  MYMAIL link

  • Your Email Address: Your email address starts with your MyMCC username followed by  @mail.mc.maricopa.edu.  (Example email address for a student with username "jones99" would be jones99@mail.mc.maricopa.edu.)

  • FORWARD Your My MCC Mail to another Email account:  If your MCC email account is not your MAIN email account, go into My MCC, click on the My Tools tab, click on the Email Forwarding Tool link, and follow the instructions there.

  • FREE UP Your My MCC Mail Account:  Access you MyMCC email account --> Click OPTIONS  -> read your mail storage QUOTA information.  If your current disk consumption is close to or equal to your mail box disk quota  it means you have no more room for messages so delete a lot of messages.  You are responsible for KEEPING YOUR MY MCC MAILBOX STORAGE FREED UP so check it regularly  to make sure you won't be missing any messages.  You may lose some points in the course if your messages are bounced back to your instructor because your account is said to be FULL.

* FYI: WebCT is a course management tool that has been used to create a Web site for this course which you will use to submit assignments, facilitate discussions, monitor grades, and take exams over the Internet. The CIS105 HOME page of this site will contain links to class handouts, class PowerPoint presentations, graded points to date etc.

IMPORTANT WebCT WARNING:  Pop-up and Ad blockers will need to be disabled in order to use WebCT. WebCT opens separate windows for various functions (tests, discussions, etc.), and pop-up blockers prevent these functions from working correctly. Some people have experienced problems accessing WebCT using  MS Internet Explorer browser due to blockers it contains versus a browser like Mozilla  http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
