Computers and the Internet are becoming an
integral part of our everyday life. We use them at home and in business. This
course is an introduction to Internet web and its resources. It includes hands on experience with various Internet and the Word Wide Web (WWW) communication, resource directory, and information retrieval tools. Web page development is also included. No instructions will be provided for those using Mac or Apple computers.

this course. Ability to type at least 40 wpm is helpful.
Students will be required to
perform the following:
- Purchase the textbook: Internet Web Development Level 1

Custom edition @2006
- Create
and use an MCC mail account.
- Access and
use WebCT - Note: instructions will be provided.
- Obtain and use a free MCC Student ID card (You will not be able to enter the MCC Multipurpose Lab without it.)
- Online Students: Read lecture notes from
your instructor for instructions on how to complete each assignment.
- In-Class Students: Attend class, particpate in group activities, and follow guidelines from your instructor for instructions on how to complete each assignment.
- Follow the Assignment
Checklist for each chapter to perform
hands-on applications.

Participate in online discussions and group projects.
- Complete
Online Quizzes and Exams.
- Complete the final comprehensive
project (develop your own Website) based on what you have
learned this class.
Students will also have an opportunity to interact with
the instructor and
their classmates either by email, or by on line real-time chat sessions, bulletin board,
and online office hours.
