Testing the Chime plugin:
To view most of the tutorials and resources you must have the Chime plugin installed on your local machine, and you need a fast internet connection. A modem works, but sluggishly. Netscape Navigator 4.x or later is also recommended. Click here if you are working on your own computer and want to register and download the free Chime Installer from MDL.
Click here for my Beginner's Guide to Chime and more detailed instructions before you download. You must also have Stuffit Expander to unstuff the installer. Note: I'm a Mac user, and some directions may be Mac specific, but Chime works on multiple platforms. If you see the molecules above, your computer is correctly configured.
Why is one Chime window black, one white and one "gone"? Check the page source code.
Links to Great Chime Sites and tutorials for developers can be found at the MDL site (the developers of Chime). Also try Eric Martz's Rasmol and Chime FAQ and my BCCE 2002 presentation.
