Class Disturbances:

Students must realize that everyone in the class is paying for the opportunity to learn as much as possible without any classroom distractions.  Any conduct which inhibits an instructor or another student in the class will be dealt with as prescribed in the Student Handbook.  This includes expulsion for one class period, intervention by the appropriate department administrator, intervention by a dean, and administrative withdrawal from the course.  Pagers and cellular phones must be off or in silent mode during class.

Please make every effort possible to be on time for class, and do not plan to leave class early – excessive tardiness will be counted as a class disruption, and will be treated accordingly. I reserve the right to initiate a tardy policy for individual students.

Cheating:

Any student caught cheating in this course will immediately receive a zero on the assignment (test, etc..) and will be required to have a meeting with the Department Chair (and possibly the appropriate Dean) before being able to attend the class again.   Cheating may result in expulsion from the course and possibly from the college.  (I had to add this after a student - who wanted to be a teacher - was caught cheating!!)
