LABORATORY INFORMATION

Grading System:  Grades will be based on the total number of points accumulated during the semester.

The formal lab reports will be graded so as to award fifty percent of the points for presentation (completeness of form, grammar, spelling, neatness, etc.) and fifty percent for experimental results.

The laboratory notebook will be graded primarily on evidence of use , but neatness still counts.  The weekly checks (initials) must be collected by the student during the scheduled lab period.

The laboratory final will be given during the last scheduled laboratory period.  Students may use their laboratory notebooks during the final exam. This is an incentive to keep a complete notebook!  Any material written in the notebook is acceptable, however, cutting and pasting material in the laboratory notebook is unacceptable.
