COURSE DESCRIPTION: First Year
Composition: Standard English writing skills. Emphasis on
research skills. Prerequisites: A score of "C" or better in
ENG101.
This English 102 Internet computer course
meets all English 102 requirements for transfer to a 4-year college or
graduation. This course is designed with some of the elements of a distance
learning course, but also combines class participation and communication,
constant contact and communications with an instructor, and convenient ways to
submit assignments through e-mail. It is designed for the student who can not
be on campus at specific times because of changing work hours or other
commitments that will not allow campus participation at set hours. The entire
course, lectures, examples, and assignments are all packaged on the Internet.
The student provides the computer and word processor. To take this course, a
student needs:

and capable of showing graphics |
An Internet provider |

A 9600 baud or better modem |
A printer |
