| I received a bachelor's degree in education from Slippery Rock State College, a master's degree in history from Duquesne University, a master's degree in library science from the University of Kentucky, and a doctor's degree in history from the University of Cincinnati. I have taught at the University of Cincinnati and Wright State University and have been a faculty member at Mesa Community College since 1976. My published works include Hugh
S. Johnson and the New Deal (1985), Supplying
the Troops: General Somervell and American Logistics in WWII (1994), and Minuteman: The Military Career of General Robert S. Beightler (2001).
I have also published articles in journals, magazines, and encyclopedias. My particular interest is American military history, especially U.S. participation in the World Wars and the Military History of the American SouthWest. Currently, I am working on several projects dealing with the Pacific phase of World War II, the military history of the American Southwest, and the Pennsylvania National Guard.
