Life Masks, The Many Faces of HIV/AIDS, is a ground breaking multi-layered project that
will create a permanent HIV/AIDS awareness display.
Masks have been used as a method of capturing the soul form prehistoric times into the
present. In ancient times, masks were made to commemorate the memory of a person who had
died. In contemporary mask making, technology allows masks to be made before death . . . a
way of celebrating life.
