The powerpoint documents presented in class were created using PowerPoint 2003, and are
available here for downloading. The presentations can be reviewed at any time from this site, so
there is no need to print these presentations. If a hardcopy is desired
please do not print in the compute lab. Most presentations are 40 slides or more,
so please print at home. Instructions on how to print 6 slides per page are available below.
If you do NOT have PowerPoint 2003 installed on your computer, you can download
PowerPoint Viewer 97 (2000 Release).
This viewer allows people who use PowerPoint to
share their presentations with people who do not have PowerPoint
installed on their computers. Note where the file PPView97.exe is saved, because
you will need to execute it to complete the installation.
Viewing Presentations:
When using Internet Explorer and Powerpoint installed, the presentation
will be displayed within the Web browser. Use the up and down arrows
to control the presentation is listed in the instructions below.
To view the slide show on your computer using Powerpoint 2003:
Click on Slide Show on the menu bar.
Mouse down and select View Show
Use the down arrow to reveal bulleted items and to move to the next slide.
Use the up arrow to move back to the prior slide.
Use Escape to end the slide show and return to editing.
Printing Presentations:
To save ink, toner, and paper, consider printing the presentations as handouts with
6 slides per page. Please note that Powerpoint Viewer 97 does not have the option of printing handouts.
It will only print one slide per page (not recommended).
In Powerpoint 2003 follow these steps to print a presentation as handouts:
Open the document in Powerpoint 2003.
Click on File on the menu bar.
Mouse down and select Print.
In the bottom portion of the print dialog box,
click on list box under Print what, and select Handouts.
Just to the right, the Handouts frame is activated.
Select 6 slides per page in a Horizontal order.
