initial district-wide Decision Support System (DSS).

Programmed, tested, documented, and implemented SQL procedures & COBOL programs
with embedded SQL for data extracts and relational table loads.

Installed, evaluated, and documented client/server technology (client, middleware, and server).

 

Oracle Technical Lead, October 1994 - September 1996

Collected and defined user system functions in Oracle CASE Tools 5.1.

Represented database table relationships with Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs).

Generated Oracle Forms 4.0 screens and Oracle Reports 2.0 reports using Oracle CASE 5.1.

Designed, developed, and modified Oracle Forms, Reports, & SQL/Plus applications.

Analyzed and defined requirements for the implementation of Oracle Government Financials (OGF).

Designed and developed data conversion procedures including data mapping, legacy extract, and
Oracle database imports using Oracle SQL Loader.

Designed and developed SQL interface programs between the legacy and Oracle systems.

Computers used were DEC ALPHA UNIX servers and Windows and OS/2 clients.

 

Technical Services Manager, August 1990 - December 1995

Responsible for managing and supporting microcomputers at the District Office.0

Developed the plan and budget for a major conversion and upgrade of microcomputers.

Coordinated & performed the installation of microcomputers, peripherals, software, and network
connections (
Mac & Windows).

Evaluated, selected, procured, and coordinated the implementation of computer systems.

Administered file servers including client and server software installation, security, and backups.

 

Systems Programmer and Programmer Analyst, Maricopa Community College District, June 1985 - July 1990

Developed specifications for the development and maintenance of the Human Resources, Financial
Records, and Budget Development systems, including payroll, personnel, general and subsidiary
ledgers, accounts receivable, accounts payable, budgeting, purchasing and property control.

Programmed, tested, documented, and implemented complex COBOL applications for online and
batch use, as well as corresponding DEC DCL procedures.

Coordinated the Financial Records System conversion and upgrade from version 86.2 to 87.1.
