Microscope

The microscope represents one of the best forms of technology used in examining the cellular structure of the human body.  Microscopes are made up of a series of lenses which magnify and clarify the cellular materials investigated in most Anatomy and Physiology classes.  Magnification of cellular materials is the job of the ocular (eyepiece) and objectives.  The combination of the magnification powers of these lenses is called the Total Magnification Power.  The microscope's condenser aides these lenses in their abilty to increase resolution (clarity).  The microscope presented below is binocular (2 oculars) and parfocal.  Parfocal is best defined as a microscope that once in focus will remain in focus regardless of the objective used.
