Rod Christian teaches Business Communication, Introduction to International Business, Owning & Operating a Small Business, and Society & Business.  In addition to teaching, he coordinates the Mesa College courses with the prefixes:  MGT, MKT, GBS, IBS, TQM, SBU, SBS, and EPS.

Rod's education includes an MBA from Illinois State University and over 75 additional graduate credits in management, marketing, international, and business communication.  International business has been a focus through many seminars, conferences, and international trips to examine business culture first-hand.  His business experience at Bell Laboratories, US Department of Agriculture, Massachusetts General Hospital, and others provide a base of practical management experience.  

While in the Maricopa District, he initially served nine years with Rio Salado College as full-time small business consultant and designer of web-based courses in business.  During this time, he developed District-wide programs in Total Quality Management, Organizational Leadership, International Business, and Small Business Management. 

Organizations:  NASBITE (National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators) and ABC (Association for Business Communication)

Hobbies: Camping, canoeing, and playing the tuba (not necessarily at the same time).  Certainly not a hobby, Rod's wife, DJ, teaches computer programming at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
