2. bipedalism as a means of locomotion freeing the hands;

3. sharing of food;

4. sexual division of labor;

5. continual sexual receptivity of the female;

6. an incest taboo to avoid disruption of the nuclear and extended family;

7. exogamy and the exchange of females outward;

8. cooperation replacing competition among males;

9. territoriality, increased mobility and a larger home range;

10. egalitarian existance, aethetics and altruism;

While this list is certainly not exhaustive, it serves as a beginning to look at the differences between humans and other primates.
