You started very simply,
Nothing flashy, nothing trite.
You said what you're about and nothing more.

You clarified your limits
Your credentials looked all right.
Your point of view I wanted to explore.

Your preview said exactly just where you were going to.
You didn't promise anything you weren't prepared to do.

Your intro caught my interest,
It was a lovely sight,
But what came next just knocked me through the floor.

I love your body.
Your structure is on fire.
Each topic sentence fills me with desire
To keep on reading.

I love your body,
And all your details please.
No unsupported generalities.

I know I shouldn't tell you.
I know you should object.
To say these things, I'm stepping out of line.

But I am full of wonder:
All your spelling is correct.
Your punctuation's just as good as mine.

Your summ'ry held your thesis, but added nothing new.
You ended with your word count, and I knew that we were through.

I can't believe this happened--
I never could expect
Five paragraphs would ever be so fine.

I love your body—
Your feelings all come through.
It's so terrific—you're so specific, too,
In each example.

I love your body.
I love your lively style
From writing as a cam'ra all the while.

I love your body, etc.
