The nature and content of the Christian tradition developed over time, with overview of the New Testament, major historical trends and figures, major Christian ideas and practices, and survey of denominations. Prerequisites: None.

The primary goal is that students become aware of the inherent variety of expression within Christianity from its birth to its full institutionalization. Along the way, students will become familiar with the historical connections between modern Christian movements and the earliest Christian movements.
