Black Canyon City Landslide Geology Field Trip

Basic Itinerary

 

7:45--Meet at MCC

8am—LEAVE MCC (meet on the South Side of the Physical Science Building #8--click here for a map of campus) 

 

9:00am—Stop in Black Canyon City (BCC) for a pit stop (our last "civilized" bathroom for most of the day)--grocery store & bathroom included.

 

9:30am—Arrive at field location and start hiking (this will involve some steep inclines and rugged terrain).

 

Noonish—lunch on the landslide.

 

3pm—Arrive back at the vans.  We’ll stop back in BCC for any needed pit stops on the way out of town.

 

4-5pm—Arrive back at MCC.
